Caramelized Onions Relish

One of our weekend’s special is the very popular caramelised onion relish.

I had a chance to experience this flavourful relish for the first in a cheese platter at a pub. It went really well with hard cheeses. Since then, apart from being a perennial on a cheese platter, I have adapted it with hints of thyme and mustard for cheese sandwiches, paneer wraps, as a topping in soups, pizzas and scrambled eggs. Also great in boiled egg sandwiches. It alleviates any hummus dish as well.
